Dog Training Success Stories

A friend recommended Key2k9 to help with some behavioral issues I had with my dog Annie. Ali was patient, answered all my questions and taught me alot. We did some virtual and in person lessons due to Covid. The virtual lessons worked well as Ali watched me work Annie to make sure I was doing things correctly and also teaching me skills to better understand how the ” dog brain” works. She gave me suggestions and Annie has done very well in a short period of time. I highly recommend Key 2k9.

Ali was recommended to us by our vet to help us with a behavioral issue with our 3 yr old Black Lab. We had lost an older lab that was the alpha of the pack and our 3 yr old was struggling to adjust. We also added a younger lab to the mix as well, and the two of them were a handful to manage – difficult to walk, reactive to other dogs, and just not very well trained. We worked with Ali over the course of 6 months and a dozen lessons and the change in behavior was remarkable. Her approach is comprehensive and requires a lot of work with the the dogs but is well worth the investment, and if you like your dogs, it is fun. The dogs are calmer, they are easier to walk, they are less reactive to other dogs and they are just more enjoyable to be around. And Ali gave us a solid plan to continue with their training on our own, so we expect to see continued improvement. We highly recommend Ali to anyone that needs help with their dogs.

We have an 18 month old Goldendoodle named Max. We had tried a puppy class somewhere else when he was younger but it just wasn’t a good fit for our family. We found Ali and Key2K9 and fell in love right away. Max felt comfortable with Ali and her style of training and so did we. She has clear instructions and is always encouraging. We have now joined her walk and trains which are great for tweaking walking techniques and socialization. We highly recommend Ali and Key2K9!

Taking care of a new puppy is really hard. You forget this when it has been a while. I asked our vet for a recommendation and they provided me with a list of local trainers and classes. We tried a few local puppy classes, but did not find the right fit until we met Ali. Key2k9 is the best around. Ali is brilliant! Always had the working dog breeds – shepherds, huskies, etc. and then rescued an 18 lb. Parson Russell Terrier. Only 1 1/2 years old. Oh my. I thought I was doing “all right” however no one else shared that thought. My daughter found Ali for me and today Jada had her last lesson. What an amazing improvement from the dog who was so excited to meet Ali on the first visit she jumped on the kitchen table. I have been told by those now seeing Jada the improvement is remarkable. She is listening, on and off the lead. Loves to work and typical for the breed – very smart. However now she is understanding I am the smarter one. Can’t say enough great things about Ali and her training classes, she is fantastic! We learned so much on how to properly train our puppy Maltipoo who had some behavior issues but is so amazing now! I will continue taking her to classes with Ali because she has responded so well with her and her training. We also love Ali’s two dogs who are the most well behaved dogs you will meet and are great with our little one.

Ali was great! She helped us with our stubborn bull terrier! He made great progress with the small amount of time we were able to use her. She is patient, caring and truly a great trainer. We have skills to take with us as we venture to Germany! Thank you Ali!

Ali walked our family–dogs and people–through a series of logical, easy to understand, and fun lessons about our “pack”. Our dogs are so well mannered at our door that the mailman actually rang our bell just to tell us that our dogs are “the best he has ever seen”! On leash or off leash, our dogs are a joy to be with, thanks to Ali’s informative guidance. She’s always there for us when we encounter something new or unexpected. Pure dead brilliant!
